My first game cam, a Scout Guard 550 (I think thats what they called it) has been a trooper.  I've got tons of great shots with it and it never let me down, even after a cub bear chewed on it one night.....

 

This past fall I THOUGHT I had put new batteries in it and it was working great until about November 5-6 IIRC. I pulled the card after a week or so and NOTHING!  I couldn't believe it.  It couldn't be the batteries I mumbled to myself later that day.  Well, I left it in the tree with another card in it for a few weeks as it wasn't a priority at that point.  I finally pulled the cam on the last weekend of RIFLE season (gosh I like saying that!) and haven't messed with it until tonight.

 

I plugged in the remote and the little red light wasn't red, it was blue.  WTH??  Tossed in 8 new batts and she is reborn!!  I thought she had gone tits up.  Yahoo!

 

My inventory is at max operating capacity, 3 units.  All is good...........................................
