NFA-ADK
Doe vs Buck survival that is an interesting topic Culvercreek hunt club. Bucks I would think have a harder time keeping on the pounds depending on how much that deer is active during the rut. Very active deer might not survive the last part of the harshest winters. Ice is a big factor in predation on deer IMO. Hard to run away on ice and with no antlers all deer are targets. Deep snow has the same effect latter on in the winter as coyotes are healthy and deer reserves down. Ever see the coyotes trap a deer on a frozen lake? I need to go yote hunting! Hats off to you Bubba for braking up the ice!!! Hoping Mother Nature is not too cruel this year on the deer. Only the strong survive was never so true when referring to deer survival and Mother Nature.
First-light
Cut up a deer on Saturday from Long Island. She had a ton of fat on her.
