Doc
Is it just my imagination, or does there seem to be a huge amount of boats for sale on people's yards? What's happening is the cost of gas bugging people, lack of time, launch congestion or are they just simply losing interest. I know here in the Finger Lakes, the water is getting crazy with congestion. I'm wondering if people are getting tired of dodging the drunks and such. But anyway, from the view along the roadside, it sure does look like it is a buyer's market out there.
First-light
Haven't seen much of a spike on L.I. Harbor is full of boats and boat traffic. Maybe they are all trading up???

First-light
Yeah interest rates still at all time lows although the fed is talking about raising them soon.
Nomad
This summer I've been on Canandaigua ,Irondequoit Bay,Lake Ontairo and up the Genesee river. There's sure are no shortage on the water..... I don't go up the river much ,I was amazed at the shear number and size of the boats docked in the river . The Lake yesterday was dotted with uncountable numbers of white sails. More and more marinas and docks being built. Been going out on boats for 55 years now. Stopped going out on week ends 25 years ago,I'll take that back,I'll go out on friends boats for a cruise, but I would not launch mine on a week end for $100.
