Trophy room

When I was in CT hunting last week I stopped by my buddy's house. He didn't have a trophy room, but he did have this pile in his barn. He sent them home with me to clean up so he can actually hang them. He goes to South Dakota most years to hunt pheasants and then takes a day or 2 to get his deer. He does pretty well for minimal effort. He had one other one that was on a plaque, all killed from 2003-2012. He didn't go a couple of years. I don't think he has ever come back empty handed either. Of the 6 big bucks he's brought back (one not pictured) 3 are in the 130's and 2 in the 140s (the big 9 on the left end was 147 and the big 8 2nd from right is 143)

Yeah I had a man cave with a TV, my weights and 3 nice 8 pointers I shot all lined up on the wall.  Then the man cave turned more into a family room and had to take two f the 8's upstate to the cabin because when we put in a treadmill you would have had a deer mount on your face.

Kids in there now with x-box video games but it is good enough as they always want to ask questions about my last 8 pointer in there and want to pet him from time to time.

Well on finally on my way to do something about finishing a place for mounts....

Did my annual cleaning today for mounts but they will be staying in assembly area of my shop so I can start finishing up some lighting/wiring and then floorimg/trim/paint.

This is about 2/3, some shoulder mounts are at an friends place, some skulls and skins are boxed up, and some stuff I can't move alone(life size Nyala and bases). Pedestals for the 2 Kudu,Oryx(Gemsbok), Bou' I left and can move around as I built them with casters.
