Broome county pistol permit

Just looking for a little info on wait time. I submitted the app on 8/3/14.

Last wed the pistol office told me the application was sent to judge Cawley.

Does anyone know how fast he goes about signing them? ( online forums say 1-3 weeks but I know it can be up to 6 months)

I'm hoping to hunt with a pistol this year If possible!

Not sure but don't chase it. Let it follow it's course (time)

I aws told  20 years ago it depends on how quick your references return there questionaire back in. It  took me about ten weeks from fingerprinting until the judge signed the permit. How the SAFE ACT changed that process I don't know !      Good Luck !!

All letters were turned in prior to being sent to judge( I kept on everyone's case). I'm not going to bother them there, I'm sure there busy.

Well I met with the judge on 10/17 and he seems like a pretty decent guy, asked me why I wanted a permit. Told him I want to get in armed security since I work unarmed now. He seemed pretty happy with that response and I was out the door in 2-4 minutes. He said to be expecting some mail within a few weeks.

Got it sat 11/15, makes me feel better after missing a 4 point!
