airedale
Been messing with a Nighthawk drop in trigger installation on my 1911 all morning, if I did not shave my head I would be pulling what hair I have out. While the trigger is supposed to be drop in, slight manufacturing tolerances require a bit of hand fitting. I think I have finally got it licked but I need a break before my head explodes. Got the trigger in and working great, just need to grind a small amount of metal off of one of the thumb safeties and hopefully everything will work as engineered when I get this mess back together. Daveboone
I love my firearm tinkering, but sometimes what seems the simplest thing....five minute project, lasts all afternoon.

I hear you, this deal was a perfect example of just that, some Dremel work and needle files got the parts to fit and function. She is all together now so I just have to test fire and makes sure all is well. Al
airedale
Reassembled and checked the trigger weight on a trigger scale and got a consistent crisp 3/1/2 lbs, much improved over the factory setup. If there is one thing I do not tolerate on a firearm it is a lousy trigger, a lot of aggravation getting this one where I wanted but worth it in the end.
