Tough opening day

Got to my spot setup I'm on public land settled in and then the foot patrol came shooting at moving branches didn't see a deer all day smfh hiw do I avoid this on public land

Hunt during the week and or go to the remote areas of the property

I live in the city so it's hard for me to be there but I guess I will have to take time off and get there ...thanks

Newbie you have to go in deep, all I hunt is public.  Only saw 1 guy yesterday and saw 2 buck.  Took a 5pt at 8am.  Go farther than everyone else and you'll be fine

Holy cow what public land are you hunting....we hunt public land in CNY and we went in and were on top of the hill by 6:00AM, hoping the local orange brigade would push the deer up the hill to us.  There were almost zero hunters out.  I had a doe sneak up behind me at 7:00AM, busted me and took off, I had no shot opportunity, and didn't see a thing for the rest of the day.  Very few shots heard through out the AM either.

Ryan, got to the trail at 4:45 and be up top of a mnt by 6am and be ready to shoot.  like Loworange88 said have the lazy orange army push them too you. tons of deer on public land.

Delaware..... There were two guys like 100 yards away who were patrolling up and down for the entire time I was out and them there was like three other hunters who came in fired there rifle and left with no deer and I was in a blind but realized it made no sense because the other hunters were following tracks and would spook any deer that was close by
