Hey All,

 

I am going to be moving to the Buffalo area this spring probably around March or April and I have already received lots of help from everyone on where to start hunting but I also love fishing and will be wanting to get some advice on fishing NY as well. So I was just wondering if there was a forum like this one but more designed towards fishing that I could sign up for.

Lake Ontario United also know as LOU. It covers all of NY and then some. Just read the guidlines about posting certain info.

Lots of lake Erie and Ontario tribs in the area that hold some decent steelhead.

There are no fish in WNY, and by that I mean it may be the place in the entire world for a fisherman! We have it all, huge pike and Muskie, the biggest smallies on the planet, steelhead, salmon, stream trout, largemouth, walleyes, you name it. Get the Sanders Guide and hit the road that's what I did when I moved here

Hey thanks for the advice! I ordered the Sanders Guide, Fishing the Finger Lakes: a Complete Guide to Prime Fishing Locations in Central New York State, and the Flyfishers Guide to New York. I am very excited for these amazing fishing opportunities! I may be giving up a little size on the deer moving from Iowa  but I am realizing now how much I am gaining fishing wise!
