what else to do with stew meat?

Chop it into really small pieces. Then soak it in a mixture of 1 tsp. tenderizer , 1/4 cup  vinegar  and 2 cups water per pound. Let soak for about 1-2  hours ( way less if using less tough cuts of meat ..more like 20 mins ) drain and rinse. let the meat dry (or pat with a paper towel) then fry it up with , pre boiled, diced potatoes and season to taste. You can add onion, peppers,  bacon, sausage… what ever..I make it like hash and have it with eggs & toast.
