518BowSlayer
Don't throw that shank meat in the grinder, slow cook it and it's some of the best meat on your deer. This came out really nice especially on a cold winter's day. 2 front shanks bacon (cut in small strips) fresh thyme fresh rosemary pack of onion soup mix beef broth red wine soy sauce all thrown in the slow cooker for 4 hours red onion celery carrots fresh mushrooms went in for the remaining 4 hours was gonna throw in some egg noodles but it didn't need it here's what it looked like halfway through all the meat fell right off the bone and all the connective tissue became soft and delicious Finished product did something similar with a bone in neck roast but cooked the liquid down to a thick gravy, I think that was even better but it didn't last long enough to take pictures
