Co-Pilot crashed the plane intentionally?

I expected to find something like this caused the recent plane crash.  Sounds like terrorism.

I seem to recall a heartwarming story, from a few days ago of a pilot of an Air Alaskan flight abandoning the cockpit to propose to his flight attendant girlfriend in the cabin. I suspect the FAA will not allow stuff like that to go on, given what may have happened on the flight that crashed into the Alps.

You have the let the pilot leave to go to the bathroom.  It appears universal background checks need to be performed on flight crew members.  Currently they are killing many more people than legal gun owners.

10-4 on the bathroom break, but maybe a highly skilled, severely background checked sky marshal to sit in the cockpit while a pilot takes a break.

Maybe a good idea, but the ones on the flights are supposed to be under cover.  It would blow their cover to enter the cockpit.

Did any of you consider he wasn't a terrorist? That he may have been a victim?...did he have family...was there people that he loved and had used against him...think about it wife couple of babies...what would you do to save your family...scary isn't it?

I considered it, but until more info comes out, I'm not even assuming it was terrorism.  But if he was forced to do it by terrorists, it's still terrorism.

I don't think it was terrorism. He made no political statement, knowing  his conversation was being recorded, and he could have waited to hit any number of major cities on the planned route. I think this was murder suicide.

My guess is that he was taking the same psychotropic drugs for depression that pretty much every school shooter to-date was also taking. It effects people in ways we cannot comprehend and that make little sense in terms of the violent actions they often under-take.

You would be surprised at the rate of depression in society today, and how many people are operating in a psychotropic haze. It is endemic.

I guess this is proof a person doesn't need an "assault rifle" to kill lots of people if they want to.

New development here. Still somewhat speculative, but I guess this will be confirmed or not as the investigation continues. If it is true, we can except a serious German crack-down given the anti-Islamic sentiment there in recent times.

According to Michael Mannheimer, a writer for German PI-News, Germany now has its own 9/11, thanks to the convert to Islam, Andreas Lubitz. Translation from German:

All evidence indicates that the copilot of Airbus machine in his six-months break during his training as a pilot in Germanwings, converted to Islam and subsequently either by the order of "radical", ie. devout Muslims , or received the order from the book of terror, the Quran, on his own accord decided to carry out this mass murder. As a radical mosque in Bremen is in the center of the investigation, in which the convert was staying often, it can be assumed that he - as Mohammed Atta, in the attack against New York - received his instructions directly from the immediate vicinity of the mosque.

Converts are the most important weapon of Islam. Because their resume do not suggests that they often are particularly violent Muslims. Thus Germany now has its own 9/11, but in a reduced form
