Furthermore, U.S. soldiers were shooting around 5.5 million rounds of ammunition per month during the war in Iraq, or 66 million rounds annually. The government is not obligated to buy that much, they are just locking in a lower price with a quantity contract. At least that's the spin from those who say it's nothing to worry about.
