Eatons Neck deer

A shot coming home this afternoon from Eatons Neck Long Island. Doe and two fawns nursing in the cemetery at the top of Ocean ave.

Town of Huntington is voting to see if they can have a bow season this year on the Neck. Residents only I heard.

Did you ever hear of a result? I have friends there and they say the deer are increasing in number.

Looks like its approved but I cant find anything on the town website. If anyone hears of details it would be appreciated. I care because it is close to home.

I grew up 8 miles from Eatons Neck  in the 50's/60's and never heard of or saw a deer, I used to hunt ducks on the Pecoic River and never saw a big deer, just a few skippers and small bucks..Times have changed
