If i wanted to hunt for mule deer, where would be the best place in the U.S.A. to go, and about how much would it cost?

you really have to narrow it down a bit because there are so many variables.

are you flexible in when you can go

are you just looking to hunt or are you wanting to focus on a trophy

do you want guided...semi guided or  a DIY hunt

what weapon do you want to use

they all factor onto where, when and how much

buddy of mine entered into a lottery I think it was Utah...wanted to ML hunt and wanted to DIY. the area held huge deer and had just been reopened to hunting. Saw a lot but got skunked. which he was OK with because he wanted the trophy. All said and done I think he had about 3-4,--- into it

any of the states out there have areas of good hunting. I would start with what type of hunt and their expectations on harvest.

Colorado has the most book bucks, I believe. Some parts of Canada are great...Alberta.

Alot depends on what you are after as mentioned. I'd like to chase them at some point, but it's just outside my top five hunting list to do right now.

one thing I forgot to mention. With a littel research you can usually do a nice combo hunt for not that much extra...maybe add a pronghorn...or yotes or really step up and do a elk/deer combo...lol

I looked into a DIY combo elk/deer in Montana. If memory serves me correct, it would cost me just under 5k for me and my father (flying out for a week) I think the combo tags I mentioned were 650
