TheFieldArcher
Well, getting there... Big Shot Transformer broadhead target has... Transformed! Added 2 high density panels and it is stopping 440 FPS/173FPKE! Now that the target is squared away... I noticed something... I shot German Kinetics at 50 yards at 440 FPS and they flew like the field points! I have not touched my scope! This is where my field points were sighted in! I hope to knock out 100 yds this weekend!
wooly
Nice- there's really no need for me to see this extended beyond 50 yds, but knock yourself out if you wish. I'm sure you'll accurately share the results either way, and it's appreciated. (even if for only entertainment at this point IMO) Looks like it's going to be another great season full of quick and predictable kills for you with your new rig and accessories! Sounds like I have a spot in NY by Syracuse... buddy used to hunt and he put out some food plots this year and he wants me to come up and get him some meat!
wooly
This may be a touchy question with so few shots into it so far.... What's your overall opinion on that Big Shot Transformer with the high density panels? Do you think it will hold up to the summer punishment you have in store for it? TheFieldArcher
This may be a touchy question with so few shots into it so far.... What's your overall opinion on that Big Shot Transformer with the high density panels? Do you think it will hold up to the summer punishment you have in store for it? A couple things, the first shot I just shot the arrow without release fluid, but it was not a problem! I opened the side door and pulled out a panel that the head didn't reach and then I easily pulled the panel the head was in off the head, I then unscrewed the head and easily pulled the arrow out. The next shot I used arrow release fluid and pulled it out. Only 3 shots into the new panels so too early to tell how it will hold up. wooly
I appreciate the feedback. Maybe a full evaluation/review after you dump a few thousand shots in her is in order. X-bow targets seem to be one of those things that no one can seem to get a handle on ESPECIALLY with broadheads. There's still plenty I don't know about these things, so your reviews are always something I look forward to. Thanks for posting your findings here.
Jaeger
I looked these up, are they really $99 a piece?
Doc
I looked these up, are they really $99 a piece? You have to do a bit of rooting around, but the price is for a three-pack. Still a damned stupid price for a broadhead, but I'm sure they will not have any problems getting bowhunters to pay it. http://www.southshorearcherysupply.com/german-kinetic-broadheads-p-51081.html
