thphm
A few weeks ago I downed some small around 4" dia. trees for firewood and opening up the area, I cut some up but left a few pushed together with the tractor into a L shaped pile just happen to go past every other day, the first few days the deer were eating the buds or leaves, then at least 2 started using it for a bedding area, as I would go by there would be a doe and a fawn inside and most of the time just the fawn, it is on the edge of an open area and has a down slope on one side , which gives them a good view of anything in the area. Just goes to show you the are not that dumb.
thphm
There still hang out in there new blind , just had a 1+ year old 3 pointer walk out of it and he is 20 feet out side the window grazing , his mom, sister and a fawn just came by also. His brother or cousin a young fork horn has been coming around the apple tree on the side of the house a lot also. Lots of deer movement around the house every morning and evening the couple of days.
