sailinghudson25
My oats are dead in my mixed cereal and legumes plot. Clover hasn't grown an inch in 2 weeks. I fell like my clovers going to die in 2 or 3 days. My food plot clean-up spot of winter rye and clover is doing good. However, it's by the septic tank leech field and it's a small 20x20 yard area, so I can give it a light drink with the well's capacity at the house. This is in the Northeastern Catskills. How's your spot.
Doc
Yup, we're getting dry. It's either feast or famine this year. We went from floods and moldy tomatoes to drought and stunted apples.
WingNut
I put down three small plots all are just about dead
Fantail
Your oats are dead? I dropped my w/r plots and they are sparse. Hoping some rain kicks over what hasn't germinated, before the rest chokes or gets munched. growalot
Holy Crap!...that was scary...I'm in the garden working...having filled a wheel barrel full of tomatoes and taking down pea and tomato fencing ..I stopped to weed the beets ...sun shining...5 min. in I realize every thing is dark and the winds picked up...I looked up to see a storm barreling at me...I grabbed the wheel barrel and made a dash for the house... a 1/4 mile jog...just as I got to the drive it let loose...in that 300ft I managed to get soaked and the bathroom had water running down the wall...my dinning room chairs were soaked 4ft into the house... curio cabinet was wet and the back of the couch 4ft into house...Dang that storm was moving!!...but it dropped a lot of needed rain...still raining and thundering lightly... So I'll wipe down change clothes and be a happy happy camper
