Trespasser tree stand found

I can't find that in any law books, can you direct me to where that is?..........I believe it's just an expression, usually found right next to "finders keepers, losers weepers".

Yes it is an expression but from what the police have told me if they are trespassing and put their object (tree stand, shooting shack) on your property without permission then you have every right to keep it. Look at those that leave tree stands on state property DEC has every right to keep your personal property because it is not supposed to be there. I didn't want to take it that far I just wanted the guy to know he was on private property he didn't have permission to be on and needed to move his stand.

Stands are expensive to replace and don't feel the need to screw the next guy out of money. Now after he was being disrespectful to my grandfather and my family I wish I had kept it and told him to piss off.
