Cory
So decided to give coyote hunting a try since deer season in ny was a bust as well as my flint lock trip to PA was a bust also. Have to say a lot has to be learned still you just can't go out there and expect them to walk by. There not deer you really can't pattern them. Deffinatly looking forward to more sits and hopefully getting an opportunity. If there are any tips anyone would like to share please do. I went for a night time sit with my spot light and predator call. And I'm not going to lie it's kind of creepy out there at night with the owls sneeking in and hooting 10 feet up a tree from you...

Water Rat
Cory......do you have snow on the ground where you are ? A fresh snowfall seems to aid in the visibility at night.
grampy
Just getting started calling yotes too. We decided to start with daytime hunting. Then when we gain a bit more experience, try it at night. Last weekend, first set up, called in five and got one. Will get out again next weekend. Hope to get a couple. Best of luck to you! grampy
No snow over the weekend but getting hit with a storm now The new snow should show you tracks and recent activity, of the local coyote's. Best of luck to you on your next hunt!
Tacti_Steve
Get a hound! Tons more fun. Other than that baiting is the easiest way.

Trust me, 500 yrds away sounds like 50 and 100yrds away sounds like 10!!! Best adrenaline rush ever
Chris B
The best advice I can give you is that 90% of your success will be in your setup. Don't let your wind blow into where you expect them to be while walking in and setting up. I like crosswinds, a wind in your face will have lots of them sneaking in behind you and busting you. Also, at night I run my scanning light continuously
