I never have but I'm sure you can find a high fence operation in NY or PA.

Fair chase, javelina would be cool. But that's a draw license in arizona

You can buy an over-the counter tag in Texas to kill a javelina, I've seen quite a few there over the years, never shot one,  I've heard the meat isn't that good.

Anyone recommend any place? willing to drive about 10 hours for wild boar. I am sure some of you have gone.

Give Easton View Outfitters a call. Down Albany Ny way. He has a few hundred acres put off for Hogs. Ny cant stop all Hog hunting. Change up the breedings and Presto!  Not real sure on all the info but Dave has a great place and will fill ya in.

Actually they are an hour north of Albany. I'm not sure of their size though.

What about buying a piglet? I always wondered what a piglet would cost and then the costs to raise it before slaughter? How old till they are prime for eating? 1 year old or like 3-4?

It depends on breed and feed, most are not too old, say a year or less.

I thought about raising a pig for meat but decided the smell and work involved wasn't worth it for me at this point.

We roast piglets, tastes excellent. Same cost as an adult pig.
