coyote attacks

We have 2 attacks in less tan a week down here in Westchester.Same town of Rye.Both attacks were on kids 1SAT.And 1yesterday.

Introducing coyotes to the population in was one of the stupidist things the state has done. Way would some people want to put a preditor in place of a hunter. From what I understand stNd on this is that they wanted to reduce the turkey population. There's better ways one just of the top my head is extend the season or bag limits. I guess that just would make to much sence way give th hunter the upper hand.

There is no hunting with a fire arm in Westchester County at all.We have a deer problem in most of the county as well.The turkey are every where.So I guess the yotes were soon to follow.

It sounds like a managment profane needs to be put in place extend the seasons and bag limits. Don't put coyote or other preditors in the mix. You probably have something like we do in Texas it call hunters hunting for the hungry a donation programe the land owner gets a tax brake for each deer donated.

Not sure if hunting well ever be allowed in the county.You can bow hunt if you get the ok but thats about it.Westchester has some of biggest deer in the state.But very little hunting.

I don't know anti hunters are the most problem they have nothing better to do and they are the first to complain about animals eating there plants or running out in front of them while driving dum asses

These kinds of stories keep popping up from around the country in increasing numbers which makes one wonder if there is a bit of a dangerous trend developing. With coyotes populating some pretty dense urban and suburban areas, one has to wonder what other ways these critters are adapting to get by.
