Al Bundy
Weather was nice, though not so good for hunting. I did my first coyote hunting, didn't see anything but had a great time. Zero snow geese, but had a great time. Saw a beaver, a bunch of deer, and had five gobblers gobbling at me this morning. Been a very long time since turkey been on my land. Excellent day though the hunting itself yielded nothing.
22Plinker
Went out Saturday afternoon and today mid-morning to sundown. Picked up several red squirrels, a few starlings that were chasing after some robins and two crows that were going after a nasty deer carcass that died in a large standing water hole. The excitement came from watching a large group of 9 or 10 deer cross a trail in front of me. I know where I am setting up my blind this fall.
Lawdwaz
Sounds like you guys are having fun! Talking about snow geese.........I had a flock fly over me in the Buffalo area on Friday. That's always neat.
Al Bundy
Oh also forgot! Hunting buddy found a shed. Half of a small six. 2 very nice points and a third smallish tine. Hope to see him around in the fall. I am guessing he should be a nice 8 or at least a big ass six. Trout and smelt season on the horizon. Hope to get out for both.
