Here he is....on the wall

as stated before he was no monster just a very memorable buck.......have him hanging on the pine wall i'm trying to get finished.....what is your thoughts on age.....taxidermist says 2 1/2 but I have another 2 1/2 hanging and this one just seems to be more beefier and really dark.......I look at the two and say young deer and older deer.....one was shoot on opening weekend of northern tier gun and the other opening weekend of southern tier.....this buck just is screaming im older......the other 2 1/2 is real slender and boney face.....this buck has a thick head......a lot of gray hair by antlers......he is very dark colored......the picture doesn't show well.....im not saying taxidermist is wrong just curious

He's a very nice buck! And he looks great on your wall! So it shouldn't matter how old he is. But my guess would be a two year old. Not that it takes away anything at all from a great deer!

my son who will be 2 in November(birthday is opening day of southern tier gun) loves him.....he says deer non stop.....a hunter he will be for sure.....he already grabs hunting movies off the movie rack

Here is a 3-1/2 and a 2-1/2 year euro.  Note that the nose usually gets a good bit longer during that span.  Just like people though, there is variation.  That is a cool looking mount in the sneak pose.  My guess is 2-1/2 year.  Did the taxi save the teeth?
