Turkey Hunting LONG Island

Anyone ever hunt otis pike for turkey?  is it worth it?  Are there a lot of turkey out there, i have a reservation for Saturday i figured ill give that or pheasant a try.

All summer long I would see a flock near the Stargazer sculpture (southern end of Otis Pike) each morning driving east to work. I know from working the east end there is no shortage of turkeys, some even becoming a nuisance in the towns.

There are a lot of turkeys all over eastern Suffolk.

Alright I'll give it a shot.  I'll walk around Otis pike.  I'll check the map and decide on a spot to try I guess

You might try asking the bowhunters on this site.  I see cars parked in those sites all the time on my way to and from work.  If the birds are around, they could probably tell you.  I usually see them from the road in the spring, but not this time of year.
