Anyone knows laws in NY regarding release/shooting chukar partridge with  the purpose of dog training?

I don't know the dates or details, but there is a "training period" that is outside of small game season that allows you to do this.  I don't believe it is allowed during small game season though.  Check the DEC website, I know it's in there.

I do have a game dog breeder license in NY. The question is when can I release and shoot chukars for dog training in NY.

If someone knows, it would be highly appreciated.
