the blur
I started shooting the plastic top ammo at the range. Dead on accurate. Haven't tried it on a deer yet. Nice deer !

SST out of my .243 and noticed the same thing. Zero blood trail. Luckily I made a good hit and he only went 60yds. Nice buck btw. With the .243 Win 95gr. I have them drop in their tracks usually. My wife high shouldered an 8 point and he flipped over backwards and dead. On 11/20/2016 at 9:39 AM, ApexerER said: Hornady ballistic tip 165 gr .308 WIN. Very little internal damage. I believe the only round that expanded was the spine shot. The three behind the shoulder look like I shot him with FMJ. Next time out I will be shooting the Federal Fusion 165 gr. Never had an issue with those. I use the superformance 130gr. in my .270 Win and it will fragment at close range (under 70 yards) and mushroom nicely anything past that. I have started using the nosler 130 gr. and had better accuracy than the SST but never had an issue with expansion or trauma.
