pistolp71
How is the Woodchuck population in your area? The past 5-10 years the chuck population has been pretty much non-existant in my area (Meredith). Some blame the coyotes. I miss the good chuck shoots. pistolp71
Sounds like fun if I had some around to shoot. It used to be great, now there is hardly any around.
orion
woodchucks and most small game diminished greatly when coyotes starting moving in. Never did have a large population of squirrels or rabbits but now its a rare occasion when you see one.
Pat Rockets
The only effect on game ive seen is the vocalization of turkeys..i remember 10 yrs ago you could walk into the woods and thats all you could hear was turkey chatter..now i can barely get a ton to answer back an hr after sunrise..if you need rabbits and squirrels ..ill send some 2ya..hahaha
fasteddie
I was shooting woodchucks for farmers in Walworth and stopped when the price of gas went up . One of the farmers was giving a guy 5 deer crop damage permits every year . I asked for just one and was refused . I told the farmer that his deer shooter could shoot the woodchucks . Plus the guy that was filling the deer permits screwed me around .
