My thoughts to you and your family Eddie.  Best of luck to your son in his recovery.  My cousin had a stroke in her early 40's and is now back to 100%.

If anyone has tinnitus in one ear, this may be a sign of arterial restriction. I am actually getting checked out for this next week. Dizziness and vertigo can also be an indicator. 

Eddie, did your son ever complain of such symptoms?

I'm glad he pulled through. Anything out of the blue like that can be scary and can also effect loved ones who witness. I hope he makes a full recovery and has no real major affects from the stroke.

He has never mentioned / complained about having either of the symptoms you mentioned .
