mowin
I rebuilt the gate on my landscape trailer. Old one was shot. Well this thing is built to last. However, it weighs a ton. I'm getting old, and picking that thing up several times a day is going to kill me. Anyone have a gorilla lift? The only review I can find is from a 10 yr old thread from lawnsite and he wasn't pleased.
landtracdeerhunter
They work very well for a while . Need one on each side for a heavy tailgate. Spring are enclosed and out of the way. The rollers and cable are light and broke over a period of two years moderate use. Parts are expensive.
landtracdeerhunter
Some could be made for a lot less than $165.

Weighed my new gate and it was 279#. No way could I lift that gate 5-10 times a day. Added the gorilla lift, and it's a two fingers operation. I expect the rollers and cables to go bad within the yr, but I can replace them with little cost with better components.
landtracdeerhunter
It is one heck of a good idea for any trailer gate.
