Tree Stand Placement

After doing Cam Card pulls over the past couple months I plan to move a stand to a more secluded tree area . Several trees are down in the swamp and has limited the travel routes of the deer . Problem right now is the Skeeters .

Deep Woods Off on every exposed skin area!!! Cooler mornings are helpful, but few and far between in August.

Buddy and I had a money spot last year that was blocked by a down tree during the season. It is a small area that was routinely accessed by one trail-ideal situation until a massive tree fell on the path (or so we thought!)

With no time for removal or desire to overscent the area my buddy decided to hunt it as it is. Sure enough he watched a beauty of an 8 pointer slowly shimmy, poke through, limbo under and get around the down tree to end up right where he would have been without the tree bing down. Now he hangs on the wall.

He couldn’t believe the areas this deer navigated.
