I am always amazed at gun control supporters NOT directing their attention to the root causes of gun violence like:

·         The failed war on the distribution, sale and use of illegal drugs. 

·         The failed mental health system. 

·         The failed judicial system that does not keep violent criminals in prison.  An example is William “Cuomos SAFE Act Poster Boy” Spengler.

·         The failed welfare system. That has enabled fatherless families and the children are at higher risk of being victims of crime or becoming criminals. 

·         The failed public school system where discipline is absent and bullies are not dealt with properly.

It appears gun control supporters will do anything but go after the root causes of gun violence.  Then it is not about reducing or eliminating gun violence, it is about reducing or eliminating access to firearms even to the law abiding.

I agree with you, BUT Big Brother may make the disclosure of the information mandatory or no gun sale.  Also Big Brother may make it a felony if you disclose false information.  What happens if they deny the gun sale because you viewed Martha Stewart's cookie recipes because Martha is an ex-convict?  Do they take away the firearms you presently posses?  The SAFE Act is an excellent example how the deep state government of Cuomo will by hook or crook take your firearms while criminals run free.

George Orwell was correct except for the tile of his book.  It was not 1984, it is 2019 when the Democrats take charge in New York.
