Lawdwaz
Considering there is no reason to put a bullet into the shoulder blade unless you choose to that is not much of a problem. Ahhh, I should have known. Why didn't you mention earlier that you are perfect? Silly me. Have a great night. Not saying I'm perfect. But if the deer is standing still my bullet is not going to end up in the shoulder blade unless I want it to. I've shot enough deer now to feel confident about that fact. I think you felt I was being arrogant but that was not my intent. We're good.............
noahmstone
The last 2 deer I shot with my .243 there was only one hole but they were DRT. I was using 100gr. Corlokts. I didn't see much to complain about until an acquaintance had to rain on my parade and ask what I was going to do if I didn't get so lucky next time and actually had to track one. 2 holes are better than 1 when it comes to tracking. I bought a 30-06 and still haven't decided if I am going to use it this season. I very confident in my shooting abilities with the old .243 and haven't gotten much range time with the 30-06 and am a firm believe the shot placement is king. adirondackbushwhack
I was taught that the bullet diameter needs to be big enough so that if there isn't complete pass through the entrance hole needs to be big enough to bleed plenty for a good blood trail. I took that to heart because I don't always acheive perfect shot placement in the woods. Off hand shooting past 100 yards (or even under) is harder then one might think especially when the heart is beating too fast due to antler syndrome. pawle76
I don't need bullets. I kill deer with my mind.
