They were changing out some old poles at work, the 50 on the nail is the year they were put in. Not sure what the other numbers mean.

the middle number is probably the pole height (length) and the bottom number is probably the pole class (thickness/diameter). i think we usually just see southern pine poles (labeled "SPP") here in NY if they're wooden poles.

Utility stuff can be cool and often old. It lasts a long time and doesn't get fixed unless broke.
