Was going to my next client to mow, and in the middle of the road was a partridge letting her brood cross.  Didn't get a pic, but this is the first partridge I've seen in my area in probably 8 yrs.  

Used to hear drumming during spring turkey and even bow season, but haven't heard drumming for yrs.

So do I.  Used to get a dozen or so partridge every year just walking through the woods. Even got several with the bow when I was on stand waiting for deer. 

It's been yrs since I've heard drumming, let alone seen, a partridge or cheepers.
