I think the owner is just retiring .

yeah but if the business was lucrative he wouldn't close the doors i don't think? Someone would buy it or take ownership.

I'm sure being located 10 minutes from Cabela's in one direction and Gander in the other has hurt him.

The last Browning shotgun I purchased from him was $100 cheaper than Cabela's website. I drove over, looked at it, and took it home that day instead of ordering it online and dealing with Cabela's customer service.  When I bought that gun the guy said everyone thinks their price must be higher than the box stores, I'm sure many don't even bother to look there anymore.

Buds Guns Online, can't beat their prices or selection. If you do, they'll just match it.

Exactly. I have purchased from them as well, they are great to deal with.  My point about ordering online was that the Gun Center has an amazing inventory, if you want it, most likely they have it, Cabela's not so much, they may have it, but it's online, not in store.
