G Man your skills and generosity are both prodigious.  I appreciate all the advice!  I think to get this plan in action I'm going to take that 2x4 rake I used last year, add a box to the top of it quick with some deck screws and lumber, then throw a few rocks in there.  Need to get more serious teeth on the thing......

Little sloppy but we got it done!  Just grabbed some pressure treated I had laying around and slapped it together with some old window curtain hardware.
