My buddy picked up that ARP barrel and we built an upper.  Very accurate gun.   I think you will be pleased.   The standard block should be fine.   
 

I have all the parts but the barrel sitting around.   I will build one at some point.

I thought about building it myself, but the barrel that I want and the super bolt are both out of stock right now. After pricing everything out, it doesn’t really seem that it’s that much more buying one complete from Blackstone. After looking at the different hand guards, I think I’m going with the BCM MCMR M-lok.

I ordered the the upper in  6.8 from Blackstone last night. 18” mid weight with ARP barrel and super bolt. I also ordered everything else that I’ll need to complete the build including a Larue trigger.
