Hi,

I'm from New Jersey but go to college in St Lawrence County. Been scouting around and found some really good bear sign and some decent deer sign. I'm having trouble figuring out what deer this far up north are keying in on this time of year, and just in general really. I've found some very very nice trail and bedding areas, I just cant put what they are eating together. Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks!

beach nuts , oaks etc also any new growth, or briars,,,,may not be one main source but just browse

I'm a north country deer hunter.  The deer have been hitting the beech nuts, apples, and sweet grasses here.  If you have acorns, be there.

I've been trying so hard to find oak trees I just cant seem to find any at all.
