13BVET
ML with Air? I don't get it, this not a pump airgun or maybe co2? Looks more like a lucky shot.....but yes interesting Actually, it's what is called a PCP airgun. They are quite capable of taking deer. I actually had a 20 gauge air shotgun, which would shoot hand made shotshells, and dangerous game slugs. I will post a pic of that. One of the most common misconceptions, is the term "bb gun". Todays airguns are a far cry from that. You can get them in .177, .22, .25, .32, .308, .45, .50, and just about any other caliber.
13BVET
on that page with your pictures in top right corner you can "return to forum", is that you with the elk? thats cool Hi, Paula. Actually, that is Bob Vogel, a man well known in airgunning circles. He does a lot of big game hunting with his air guns. These guns have air pressures anywhere from 2,000 psi, up to 4500 psi. That's where the power comes from.
13BVET
This turkey was taken with the 20 gauge air shotgun. The squirrels were also taken with the same gun, at about 30 yards.

bkln
Yeah, OK but how's the air power generated in a CO2 container or pump action or what?
bkln
or maybe spring action...???
13BVET
Hand pumps, or scuba tanks. This is true compressed air-not co2. The hand pumps have to be rated for extremely high air pressure-at least 3,000 psi.
13BVET
There is a drawback to these of course-price. They can be expensive. Too damned expensive, sometimes.

13BVET
Oh, just for the record, the turkey was NOT taken in New York. It's illegal to hunt turkey with an airgun in New York.
