jusputtn
Being one that likes to fire up a hot lunch and tea during my hunting forays, Santa was nice enough to drop off a Kelly Kettle this year. Tried it out in the back yard and it does what it's suppose to, boils water in about 5 minutes. I also got the cook kit with it. It uses a much smaller fire than is needed for heating a can or army canteen cup over an open fire.

A bit off topic, but, what ever happened to those little fold-up sterno stoves with the canned fuel? Can you still buy that stuff somewhere? jusputtn
Doc, I have used the army canteen cup w/ stand for trioxane pellets. They've gotten pricey, bout $5 for three and it takes 2 to 3 to heat some stew and tea. The Kelly Kettle just uses twigs, pine cones or whatever's handy to make a small fire.
