WNYBuckHunter
Like culver said, You can start at the battery and move toward the winch, testing the cable at every connection point. You set the meter at the same setting as you would for any 12v system, such as a battery, like you said. My thought is that if the solenoid tested good, just make sure the feed is giving power to it, if it is, start tracing the wires toward the winch and go from there, if not, start tracing the path back toward the battery. Electrical stuff can be frustrating, but you should be able to do it. That being said, I've been driven completely nuts by something seemingly simple, like trailer lights lol. WNYBuckHunter
HAHAHA, sounds like me working on things. A few F bombs seems to help loosen any nut or bolt. Glad to hear you got it working!
