Was watching NBC News, 40lb coyote caught in Rye.

Was watching NBC News, 40lb yote caught in Rye.  This is the same place where they had those two other coyote attacks.  40lb is pretty solid for a coyote.  Anyways, just letting ya know

yeah 40lb is a decent yote... ive seen them bigger upstate where i go.

40lb should be around average no?

I guess, but I remember back 10 or 15 years ago when the yotes I saw were all scrawny.  Now they are anywhere from 40lbs and up.  My dad ran into a coyote at the property last week when walking the trail to the field.  He estimated it at about 50 lbs, and a solid size.  It was about 30 yards away, and took off when it saw him.

Opening day 2008,This big guy strolls through at first light.No more venison steaks for him.He was a brute.

Whats the weight on that guy?  Also did it have a redish coat to him?

He's easily 40-50 range.Not really red,But he has a silver streak down his back and tail.Made a nice pelt.Its hanging on the wall.

i ran into one a few years back opening day upstate. first light at 50 yards, this things was every bit of 60lbs.

they were a big problem few years back, there were some BIG ones running around. i mean there still an issue...

There showing up in Manhatten!Which means they had to cross a bridge or tunnel to get there.They will be on Long Island before long. ???

the DEC estimated the ones that killed our 130# Nubian goats went between 65-85 pounds and the ones that circled me on the way to my stand were all of that.....the one looked to be the size of my female shepherd...
