Lake Erie Smallmouths......

Hi Folks, Just wondering how many have had the opportunity to fish Lake Erie?  We try and get there once or twice a month.

Its has to be one of the best Smallmouth fisheries the US has to offer... Pound for pound Smallies are one of the best fighting fish... Small boat harbor, Seneca Shoal... Non stop action... get out there if you can...it’s a blast folks...

I grew up on the western basin of Lake Erie in Ohio and have done a lot of smallmouth fishing.  This time of year is hot on the reefs and near the islands...

I'm from Buffalo and I know the smallmouth fishing is great but not having a boat makes it difficult to go after them.  I usually fish small lakes from a kayak but there's no way in hell I'm taking a 10 foot kayak out on Erie!
