Fantail
1 full size (long) squash or zucchini. 2 lbs. ground venison Grated cheese Aluminum foil Take the zucchini/squash cut in half lengthwise. Hollow out the seeds. Pre-cook aprox 20-30 minutes till tender. Place halfs in cookie sheet / grate or something like that. Support each half with folded/crumbled foil so they are somewhat level. Fill hollows with ground venison to about 4/5ths. Top with grated cheese. Finish cooking till cheese is done - lightly browned. Remember ground venison browns fairly quick. You can precook / fry the venison just till browned if you like depending on how shallow the hollow is. That way you can add other nonsence to the mix. I've done these in the oven or over a campfire. Gthphtm
Almost the same as Fantail's.With less meat, cut up onion/red and green peppers, garlic, pasta sauce, salt, pepper and other spices to taste.Cut the halves to fit in a Crock Pot,take some alum. foil and put in the bottom of the Crock Pot, to keep the halves about an inch off of the bottom, add about an inch of water.Mix everything together and fill cavity and place on the foil in the Crock Pot.Set on Low and leave for about 3 hours. The last 20 minutes to a half hour add the cheese.Enjoy,
