Grouse
Good article on survival meat in the wild. During the survival adventure of a lifetime, I got to experience firsthand what it’s really like to live in the woods without outside help for as long as possible. Of the many things I learned in the Canadian sub-Arctic as a contestant on the History Channel show “Alone,” I found out that rabbit starvation is real. If you only eat rabbits for weeks on end, you will wither away and die. If you’re lucky enough to find a porcupine, you might live. Here are five reasons why. https://www.themeateater.com/hunt/small-game/porcupine-meat-the-ultimate-survival-food?fbclid=IwAR2J8Jd3seEhajl7u09yXKRuw3QxWoSkPJtebH7oqqcgiFsaTR_I0m4tV9c
Daveboone
Ive had porcupine several times. Quite a meaty critter. Best barbequed, very fatty. You need to be careful because with all the fat, if you dont do alot of trimming, it burns easily. Actually tastes alot like woodchuck, and similarly muscled.
