At my brothers 60 th birthday party my niece walks in with the two bow cases and tackle box. She says uncle Jeff and Burt you have to look at this stuff. Her neighbor was moving and had all of her deceased husbands bow stuff in the shed. My niece said her two uncles would love it so here we are. A tackle box full of all types of things. Two bows a Golden Eagle and a Bear compound. Back in the day the Golden Eagles were the bow to shoot. I just may hang them in the Barn as a tribute to a fellow Bow Hunter. His last license was in 2003-04. Cool stuff, jump in if you have any suggestions or knowledge of the bows. Also some wicked broadheads!

A buddy of mine will be picking me up and we will be heading to the show this morning, a good day for it as this 80 plus degree weather will be putting a damper on my hunting, looking at the upcoming forecast for the next week she looks to be a bit too hot for me. Al

One of those old-guys with a crap memory...... But, I don't remember what the carcass tags were made of before that fancy plastic-style paper, but weren't they just a "card-stock" kind of paper?

It sounds like you have developed a form of instinctive shooting that works for you without all the clap-trap of sights and such. All I can say is "Don't mess with success". Stay with what is working for you.

I will guarantee that both of those bows will shoot very good groups and are capable of taking a good many deer for any hunter that is interested in getting into bowhunting or archery in general. Rather than just hanging them in the barn where they will be gathering dust, you might want to find a young person who wants to get into archery but cannot afford the investment and at least have them being used. Is that perhaps a more fitting and useful way to dispose of them?

Squirrel number one, The season is long so I will only take one per day, this guy instead of being eaten he will be going into the freezer intact and will be used as a training aid for my young Airedale "Ruff". When I am done he will be able to associate those Squirrel tracks he finds in the woods with what is actually making them. I always try to use real animals when training instead of bottled scents. Yeah, it might be a good idea to have some zip-lock sandwich bags with you to put the tags in for attachment to the carcass.

Do you think it would have ran away if it had been a sow with cubs? I always wonder about that when I am walking to or from my stand in the dark.......Ha-ha-ha-ha.

I think most that left were on here daily. Sure it's nice to not have the useless banter but the fact is this site lost a huge amount of members. That is not good and with no new memberships it's a recipe for disaster. Enjoy it while it lasts.
