ya its very tricky but i looked it up sometime last week, DEC makes it very hard to find any infromation on their site, and i couldnt find it in the book, i just went through the whole website to find it.

Ya my bear was completly by accident, I was walking to my stand at my camp when I walked up on him digging up roots, I have noticed that they loved recently logged areas with lots of black berry bushes and a mixture or hard woods and swamps

Ya it is a great program, I hunted the first two years that they held it and had a blast doing it. Its a great program to get kids into the outdoors and have a good time -

No I've just had trouble with the profile pics, I have no idea what the size of them are, they are off my digital camera so they might be a little to big, how would you change the size of them?

Im having some trouble loading pictures from my computer onto the site, when i go to change my profile pic it says it cant upload the pictures. Anyone else having these problems also?

Ya thats another option that will save a little money in the long run by not having to buy a new gun

Ya a bad experience with recoil could ruin his spirits, the most important thing is to make sure hes comforatable, and he'll get the deer just as fast as with a big gun. Good luck

It might kick a little more than the 243, so if your worried about this i would just stick with the 243 it will do the job as long as your sons comfortable with the gun it will do just fine

Ya a 243 would do just fine, I've killed a few deer with mine and I have never had to track one. Another alternative would be the 7mm 08 which is basically a 243 just necked up to a bigger bullet. Not as fast but has a little more nockdown power
