  1. What I posted IS from NYS police , it’s how they are enforcing or not enforcing
  2. So you CAN drive to your hunt spot or whatever with it UN loaded sitting on your seat
  3. I guess it’s all firearms long guns and handguns need to be locked in a case IF you are leaving them in the vehicle unattended . Like this stupid law is going to stop criminals from committing gun crimes
  4. Yes but today the ammo is back , they said corporate told them to clear the shelves until someone trained them how to do the needed background check . They now know how and shelves are restocked . They said they scan your drivers license and there are some questions they need answered . More idiotic liberal bs
  5. Yes doesn’t matter what cell phone provider you have , just like if I have a Verizon cell and you have ATT I can still call you My cameras are all Verizon and my cell is ATT You won’t have an issue
  6. A Rochester NY restaurant already posted that you can conceal carry there
  7. That being said I’m sure the gun hating left wing downstate libs will all vote for her .. I still say IF everyone bitching about her and these idiotic laws would actually get out and vote , it would make a difference
  8. Yea I saw that , and it reads different than the OPs number 2 So it seems someone told him incorrectly Then the law reads it must be in a “fire resistant “ storage ..two lines later it says it can be plastic Welcome to NY
  9. So number 2 above from the OPs post says when driving it has to be in a locked case But that doesn’t seem to be in the law? Sounds like it’s just if you leave it in the vehicle
  10. Trespass laws have been changed to make it easier to become a felon. It is now considered illegal to go into any place that does not say CWP allowed. You must have permission from every landowner or you will be charged with a Class E Felony for trespassing (includes being lost if you have a firearm). If Violated:::::This a FELONY requiring that the state confiscates all your guns. So if you have issues with your neighbors make sure you know exactly where the property lines are.Advice get written permission from all the land owners before the season starts so you don't get caught up in a later squabble and be told "you never had my permission." These trespass laws will be used aggressively so be careful.
  11. Me either but .. never had to do all this goofy crap before last Thursday . And before last Thursday if I wandered off my property by accident while hunting , I wasn’t able to be charged with a felony
  12. So I hunt two properties that I have exclusive hunt rights on . Im friends with the owner .. so if DEC or whomever sees me coming off the property will I need a signed note from the owner saying I have these rights ? Or do you guys think that’s not necessary ? Im reading the portion that sounds like IF you are carrying a firearm on property you don’t have permission to then you are committing a felony .
  13. I have one on my jump box and I have needed it several times , when I had a flat and plugged it on the road and used the compressor to air it up Now the one on the jump box bit the dust but the jump box is still good . Thought I’d just get a 12v compressor to keep in the truck . Any brand better than the other
  14. I have exclusive on 100 acres , about 30 is wooded the rest ag fields . He doesn’t charge me but .. I work for him doing hay etc when he calls I go . I have another smaller lot ( 6 acres) that’s surrounded by woods on one side and ag fields on the other sides. Never shot a good buck here but can take a big doe anytime
  15. I’m pretty well stocked on most calibers I need
  16. The new gun law goes into effect , the guy at BPS said you will need background checks for ammo purchases as well as other idiotic laws I thought it was just concerning handguns but not according to him
  17. The ammo aisle was pretty well stocked , didn’t see any .243 I asked the counter guy and he said “ nope we don’t have any , we got three cases in yesterday and the Mennonites came in and bought all 3 cases “ I guess there isn’t a limit anymore ? Maybe everyone is stocking up anticipating issues after Sep 1st ?
  18. I had a few bucks but haven’t seen any in a week or more
  19. I really dont have a place to fasten it to , and if I did it would be a PITA to get under it
