Thx i have only seen a couple does here this year but I don’t hunt it till crossbow and gun. there is a pretty well used trail and the trees get ripped up pretty good

Well it’s where the main trail into the gully and thick woods start, on a ridge , open corn and soy bean fields to the right of the pic, thick woods and creek to the left.. every year by opener of gun the trees along this trail are torn up

Not sure what to do for opener of crossbow.. im getting a couple for pics and fix and coyote .. not seeing bucks... cam is in the woods on a trail that every year is used and trees are scraped up good ... maybe like others have said it’s too early ..

Had it dialed in with field tips,, decided on 4 blade Muzzy broad heads, used the practice tip at 20, 40 yards. it seems to be a little low at 20 like 1/2” but on at 40 i lost one arrow / Broadhead not sure what happened but it’s in my field someplace So I have 3 brand new bolts all rigged with brand new broad heads, rail is lubed ready for action

So... maybe I’ll pull the camera tomorrow, set up my ground blind and brush it in ... and just hunt it when crossbow opens -

But I’m not getting any buck pics on my camera -
It’s aimed at a well used trail and cross trail where every year there are scrapes and rubs .. I have only gotten a few die pics .. Should I still hunt this during the rut ? i saw a monster there last year and killed a nice 6 there couple years ago ... im the only one who hunts it and there are about 30 acres.. it’s tough hunting and thick and rugged

And you have sighted in on the level... do you aim low on the deer ?

I won’t be using it till crossbow season in two months i wanted to wait till I see activity in my cameras first to know where to set it up. its an Ameristep doghouse the area has every year lots of runs and scrapes and trails .. maybe the bucks aren’t in there yet ? so maybe set it up now and brush it in and do some shooting lanes ? im still two months away
