    I am next to you in Allegany County , we havent been seening to much activity either . Opening weekend was the best so far as to seeing deer . I think the wind and warm days are to blame , I think this week and weekend coming up with the colder temps is the time to be out there ...

    Ya it makes me laugh when I see those female hunters sitting in there stands with makeup on, big shiny ear rings and jewlery on , must be a new type of camo !!!!

    I plant in 9p with the combintation of peas and buck oats , I am praying for rain now !

    Buck Oats and Winter Peas planted in the first week of Sept. timing just right for archery season , always had good results with this combination...

    I decided to call the DEC office to ask why being a landowner with over 50 acres I gotten turn down foe a doe permit , she did some reach where I gotten my licence and found out the clerk at the town hall never put in my tax ID number , this happen two years in a row , DEC is mailing a permit to me ...

    Hunt Friendship/ Richburg for over 25 years , some years are better then others , last 5 years or so its been terrible, dont understand why there is hardly any hunters down ther any more ..

    Being a land owner with over 50 acres , this is the second year in a row that i gotten turn down for a doe permit , the guy right after me with no land owner status gets one for the same DMU , something fishy with our system !! >

    Its way to early to plant oats , in our area around the second week of Sept works the best . I found deer attack the plots when the oats are under 4 inchs, when they are tender . Made a mistake one year of planting to early and the oats got to high and the deer seem to aviod the plots ..

    Allegany County , Wirt NY , HUNTED THERE FOR 30 YEARS AND STILL HUNTING THERE !!
